Every week, our farmers, bakers, and makers gather right here on Hughes Road to bring you the best of North Alabama — straight from the soil, the oven, and the hands that grew it.
Madison Farmers Market was born from a simple conviction: that the best food comes from people you know, grown in soil you can trust. What started as a handful of neighbors selling surplus garden produce has grown into a weekly gathering that draws families, chefs, and anyone who believes a Saturday morning is better spent among fresh air and good company.
Everything you see was planted, tended, and harvested within a short drive from this very parking lot. No cross-country freight, no warehouse storage — just soil-to-shelf freshness.
Every vendor is a local face you can ask questions to — about how they grow, what's ripe this week, or how to cook that unfamiliar squash. We don't hide behind labels.
Revenue stays local. Every dollar you spend supports a family farm, a home kitchen, or a small business right here in Madison and the surrounding counties.
Seasonal, varied, and always fresh. Here's a taste of what shows up week to week.
Tomatoes, peppers, greens, squash, and more — whatever the season brings.
Berries, stone fruit, apples, and melons picked at peak ripeness.
Sourdough loaves, pastries, pies, and breads from local home bakers.
Raw honey, jams, jellies, hot sauces, and other pantry staples.
We set up under the open sky at the corner of Hughes Road — plenty of free parking, easy access, and a welcoming crowd from the moment you step out of your car.
Saturdays, 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM

We're proud to support local agriculture, host community events, and provide a space where neighbors become friends over a shared love of real food.
Every child gets a passport to collect stamps at vendor booths. Complete it for a surprise prize — and a reason to try something new.
Local chefs and home cooks share recipes using what's in season. Learn techniques, taste the results, and take the recipe home with you.
Our biggest day of the year — live music, a corn husking contest, pie judging, and twice the vendors. A true Madison tradition.
Bring a bag, bring the family, and leave with something that actually tastes like summer — or whatever season it is right now.
Whether you're a grower looking to sell, a restaurant seeking local suppliers, or just curious about how the market works — we'd love to hear from you.
